Delilah

Cutie tuxedo Delilah is almost 5 years old and has been with us for over 4 years. After having (and rearing) her litter of kittens shortly after arriving in the charity, blood tests indicated that Delilah had an unusually low white cell count leaving her susceptible to infection. Slowly with the help of steroids, she has made a recovery and was well enough to be spayed, but has always and still has food sensitivities, periods of tummy upset and urinary tract infections so she eats a special diet to help with this and has the occasional bout of steroids to keep her on track. Her bloods are also checked routinely for any changes. Delilah shares her foster home another FF long termer Teddy and her foster family’s own cats and though they peacefully co-exist-we suspect it takes a lot of patience on Delilah’s part! Delilah can be shy and a tad skittish but really enjoys a head scratch -on her terms. She is always the first to greet any visitors to the home and sits waiting for fuss, rewarding them with her infectious purr and taking her leave when she has had enough. Delilah loves soft balls, which she hides, chases and talks to. Her favourite things to do are to sit on a cushion, dozing on the sofa and to sit in the catio watching the insects and birds. Delilah loves a peaceful life and will continue to have that as a long termer here with us in FF.
