Day 92 - forever fosterer found

Please say hello to magnificent Spider! You may remember this huge fluffy boy from winter 2023 when he was found with his sister Glory after they'd been abandoned at a fly tipping site. Both Spider and his sister struggled for months to survive, terrified and starving until they were rescued. Named after Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars for his eyes, this gorgeous boy is quite the stunner. Spider was all ready to be adopted for his forever home, but it was discovered he has skin cancer on his nose. Due to such a delicate area of skin, cancer in this area on cats is extremely difficult to remove and recover from, and near-impossible to eradicate all of the cancer without significantly damaging his face . Because of this, and Spider finding vet visits to be so traumatic, the difficult decision was made with vets that the best option for him is to make him as comfortable as possible in palliative foster. He may still have a few years yet of a good quality of life, and he is definitely making the most of living the pampered life of dreamies and cuddles. Spider is possibly the cuddliest cat we've ever had, even when he was frozen in fear when he first arrived, he would ever-so-gently rub his cheek on his fosterers hand whilst looking up with his big eyes. Now he's settled and happy, he absolutely loves having as much fuss as possible, and purrs so much he even does little snorts! His favourite thing is a full head massage and lots of brushing for his gorgeous fluffy coat, he struts around flicking his tail and cuddling up to the brush. He absolutely loves his pamper sessions! Spider also loves hoovering up dreamies or having a lick-e-lix, which he usually manages to get all over his nose. When Spider isn't chirping for more cuddles, he can be found snoozing on his favourite sunny shelf in the conservatory. His fosterers are determined to make his life as spoilt as possible with all the cuddles, pamper sessions and treats this gorgeous boy could possibly wish for.
