Howie

Hi friends! Some of you may remember me; the big grey boy called Howie! Well, I thought I’d send a postcard to you and let you know what my life looks like as it has been 4 years in my forever home. I hid for a little while in my new house because I didn’t know anyone yet and it all smelled different. But the girl who I was dropped off to took her time and spoke to my foster mum who said chicken was the way to my heart- how did they know! My favourite thing to do now is sit on the kitchen windowsill and watch lots of wildlife. I also chat to my human- lots! I like to tell her what wildlife I am seeing, I talk to her about her day and I’ll always remind her when dinner time is. My human has me doing puzzle feeders and enrichment, which I am getting very good at so she has to get creative. I live indoors because of my FIV status but there is always lots to do; I have lots of toys and my human has taught me tricks. So far I know a ‘sit’ and a ‘touch’ and we are working on a ‘spin’ (I’m secretly very well trained but I’d like to get maximum treats…I don’t think the human has realised my motives!) You will always find me snuggled up under the duvet at bedtime. I have come a long way from the life on the streets I was living and I am very grateful to Bev and Becca and all the Forgotten Felines humans who took me in, rehabbed me and chose my mum for my forever home. She says I am her best friend and she is mine too!
